What is this? Is it good?

To give you a better chance to understand what this game is, I would like to explain a bit more about myself and how the game was made.

Journey of the Forgotten is a game that I started at a younger age when I was a teenager but became a lot more complex and refined after I completed it years later. How did this happen?

Back in the day I was deeply inspired by games like Final Fantasy (1) which I was able to play on a psp. I did not have the money to get a playstation and was happy about anything that made its way to a portable console. So many other games like Kirby's Mirror World, Mario titles and all the good and bad Pokemon and Bomberman titles showed me other worlds.

I knew that I wanted to create a role-playing experience for others to enjoy. Thinking back I realized how many kids must have felt similiar and I wanted the game to be affordable and playable for all ages.

But there was one problem that should over-shadow my efforts:

While starting the game, creating an overworld, setting towns and dungeons worked out nicely, at one point something unfurnate happened. I was creating a dark mansion which was a vampire's lair as suddenly...

Nothing.

A black screen greeted me, showing me a failing device in front of my very face.

But the real issue was not the computer. Or some kind of issue with the software. My problem was I had no backup for that work.

Hours of hours spent, melted away, gone with the wind. I hated myself. Noone else was to blame.

To my utmost joy I was able to claim one last remnant of what was to become my most refined game area.

One single mp4 showing parts of the mansion to celebrate my achievement.

Of course, the reconstruction would not yield an result 100% like what it was before but I was adamant that I could, watching the tilesets, rebuild certain sections piece by piece.

Nevertheless, the stress in physical and mental form wore me out. I was attending school at the time and the exams got harder. The rebuild more or less complete, real life forced my attention elsewhere.

It was at a later stage in my life that I would decide to become an it specialist ending my math studies.

Then at a later point, I grasped the opportunity to create TwoSoulFox Studios.

It allowed me to finish what I had started. Quia, left at the scary mansion unsure where to go to, got a new direction.

I knew the towns and the dungeons needed refinement. Also many dialogues and the proper game ending had to be added.

It was a lot of work but my diligence started to pay off.

In the end I translated every single dialogue in the game into English, German, French and Japanese.

Full of puzzles and wit Quia's adventures came to a close.

But what about you? Do you even play retro RPGs? Can you even beat it?

Yesterday I talked to a friend about whether that is the end... but looking into the northeast... who knows...

This depends on whether you play it...
